Quick take: possibly the best vegan ramen
Best item: spicy creamy vegan ramen

We have been excited to do this review for a while. To get to the point, Jinya Ramen is NOT a vegan ramen shop, but it does have a vegan ramen that is so good, it deserves to be in the conversation for the best. This is the spicy vegan ramen ($19.80).

It starts with the noodles that they make in their own factory, which are chewy and flavorful. We have been many times to Jinya, and the noodles are never overcooked. A hack is also to order a serving of extra noodles (upper left, $2.50), because it never seems like enough. Corn is also a nice add-on (upper right), however, for $1.50, you could have bought 2-3 cans. The broth is creamy and honestly not too spicy, but does have a bit of a kick. You can adjust the spiciness by asking them to put less chili oil. The broth has a deep umami-ness to it. The other toppings are ok, spinach, tofu, onions and fried garlic. Not pictured but worth mentioning is the hot sauce and seasoning sauces on the table are vegan and delicious.

Ratings:
Hipster 1: 10/10 – noodles are incredible, broth is amazing
Hipster 2: 9/10 – not perfect score, because for that price the accoutrements could be better, at least the corn should be included

Let us know if Jinya is the best vegan ramen.
