Quick take: huge selection, some very good items
Best item: assorted cookies
After our first trip to Toluca, we had to return to try some of the other items, specifically the cookies.

These are assorted cookies ($12.00). They reminded us of those cookies in the metal tins, and it brought up a feeling of nostalgia (at least for one of us). That being said, the cookies themselves are pretty good and each cookie type has their own flavor and texture.

These are Mexican wedding cookies ($6.00). They were flaky and a bit on the dry side; however, we have never had non-vegan versions of this, and don’t really have a frame of reference.

We were hungry so we got these savory empanadas for a snack ($3.00/ea). The pastry was nice and flaky, there could have been more filling, but overall not bad.
Ratings:
Hipster 1: 6.5/10 – prefers pastry over cookies
Hipster 2: 7/10 – cookies are nostalgic, but the pear tart is better
