The Purple Mint Feb 2025

4616 El Cajon Blvd
San Diego, CA 92115

Category: vegan Vietnamese
Quick take: would give it another try
Best item: crab cake noodles

The Purple Mint is a nice little vegan Vietnamese restaurant in San Diego. We got the crab cake noodles ($15.95) and lemongrass chicken vermicelli ($14.50).

The crab cake noodles were pretty good, lots of goodies included, and the brother was overall flavorful. I believe it was a special, because I couldn’t find it on their website menu.

The vermicelli was decent, but tended to the sweeter side. Otherwise it’s solid.

Ratings:

Hipster 1: 6.99 – vermicelli a little too sweet

Hipster 2: 7/10 – the crab cake noodles were good enough to go back and try their other offerings.

If you have been to The Purple Mint, let’s us know what we should try next!
