Quick take: do NOT miss the dessert
Best item: creme brulee
Thanh Tinh Chay is a pretty unique place. They say they use organic veggies, non-GMO, no MSG, no preservatives and make all their own faux meats. As such the price is high. Make no mistake this place is expensive. Previously, we had eaten here, and the food was good, and the staff were so friendly. We had ordered lot of food for a group and they provided us with many free desserts. Those desserts were simply divine, and it made such an impression that it became my mission to go back and get more. This time we got the creme brulee ($7.80) and the flan ($5.40). Sorry about the picture, the flan got cut off.
They brulee the shell after you order it, and there isn’t much more to say other than its probably the best creme brulee I have every had vegan or not. The creme is perfectly balanced in sweetness, and the shell is thin. That being said the portion size is small. Like really small.
The flan is smooth and flavorful with a hint of coconut, also a very nice balance of sweetness.
