Quick take: for what it is, it’s pretty good
Best item: fruit torte
Starry Lane Bakery is an allergen free bakery, which means not only is everything plant-based, but also free from: peanuts, tree nuts, soy, gluten, dairy, egg, sesame, and mustard. They don’t say they are vegan because they do not use vegan sugar, which sadly is just something us vegans have to deal with. If you walk in with a liquid container, and it’s not water, they might ask you to put it away or leave it outside, because of potential allergens. We got the fresh fruit torte ($7.88), chocolate cupcake ($5.51), cinnamon roll ($6.04), and lemon poppyseed muffin ($5.78).
For what it is, the pastries are pretty good. The torte was definitely the best, then the cinnamon roll. The cupcake was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the muffin was obviously gluten free, so if that bothers you, avoid.

Ratings:
Hipster 1: 6/10 – not bad for gluten free
Hipster 2: 5/10 – good for allergen free
